WHO IS ZEN YOGA?

 


Zen Yoga is a holistic system. It combines all aspects of the human self by uniting the fundamental needs of physical health, mental clarity and spiritual peace. It is a spiritual discipline that works to heal the body and the mind. Zen Yoga is based on the peaceful stretching and breathing exercises of Shanti Yoga, the energized breathing philosophy of Qigong, the flowing movements of Tai Chi and the mental serenity achieved through Zen meditation. Zen Yoga is much more than a set of physical exercises. Through integration of body, mind and spirit Zen Yoga creates flexibility, health, vitality and peace of mind.

Zen Yoga was created by Aaron Hoopes and is based on a few very simple concepts:

Aaron Hoopes is the founder of Zen Yoga. He has over twenty years experience training and teaching in Japan, Australia and the United States. He is an instructor of Tai Chi, Chi Kung and Eastern healing arts. He is the author of two books; Perfecting Ourselves: Coordinating Body, Mind and Spirit and Breathe Smart: The Secret to Happiness, Health and Long Life. His new deep relaxation cd, Inner Sunrise, has just been released. He has taught the Art of Breathing, Stretching and Relaxing to his students around the world, from children to seniors - his teachings are accessible to all.

 


Joanna Mrozek is a registered nurse and Zen Yoga instructor. She has practiced yoga for many years. Her spiritual studies include crystal energy work and essential oils. She also works with the QXCI biofeedback program.
