Triangle Pose - Trikonasana
Trikonasna helps to integrate Spirit with Earth. It’s
rooting qualities help you to remain stable on the board and it’s
expansive qualities remind you of the power of the Divine – expressed
in the wave. Beginning on the right side, step the feet approximately
3 feet apart and point your right toes forward. Left toes angle
slightly in. Inhale, outstretch the shoulders and arms. shift the
left hip back towards the left foot. Extend the right fingers as far
as they will reach parallel to the right toes.

Exhale, with mindfulness windmill the body to the left and
feel the left hand land lightly on the shin, foot or sand for
support. Allow the hips and heart to open wide. Reach upward
through the right fingertips and gaze upward if it is appropriate for
your neck. Stay very aware of your inhalations and exhalations. Feel the rooting qualities of Trikonasana with the solid
wide set base through the feet and hips, as well as the expansive
qualities through the open heart and reaching right arm. Practice
for 5 – 10 breaths on both sides.
