Yoga for the Surfer
A Very Special Practice Series by Ateeka
from Hawaii
Locust Pose - Salabasana
Strengthen the muscles of the spine in this essential
surfer’s pose. A strong and aligned spine will make paddling easier
and standing up to catch waves more graceful. Lay on the stomach with
the forehead resting on the floor. Stretch arms out in front of you.
Press the pubic bone into the earth for stability, then raise the arms
and legs off of the ground. Breathe with attention for 5 – 10 deep
rounds.
