Standing Spread Leg Forward Fold -
Prasarita
Padottanasana
Free the hips and inner thighs with this restorative
forward fold. See that your feet are secure in the sand with toes
pointing straight forward. Inhale deeply with hands on hips, open
the heart and arch back slightly as if you were looking at a glassy
double-overhead wave, fill the lungs completely with fresh oxygen.
As you exhale, lengthen through the spine and mindfully fold forward
out of the hips. elbows point behind you as the wide open heart leads
the way into this forward fold . Allow your hands to rest at the
legs, feet or sand. Shoulders extend toward the tail as the spine
grows long and breath remains steady. Relax the head and neck and
feel the deep stretch in the hips, hamstring, inner thighs and
groin. Brainpower, coordination and concentration for your surf
session will be enhanced by this asana.
