"You
must approach your yoga practice with reverence and gratitude and
love. Its very much like entering a temple." Amrit Desai
Dancer Pose
A
great
pose after sitting a long time. If you feel this in your knees,
skip it. Come standing in mountain pose merging the soles of your
feet to the floor the crown of your head to the ceiling. Breathe
long and smooth through your nose focusing your gaze on a point
that does not move at eye level. Shifting all your weight to your
right side, slowly float your left foot back and up in to your left
hand. Your left hand is wrapped around your left ankle. Press out
through the ball of your left foot and try to spread the toes. Begin
to elongate the front of your left thigh, dropping your left hip
begin to lengthen your right side. Take five long deep breaths.
Hold on to the counter if you struggle with balance.
